On Thursday, Dec. 10th, Dowdy Student Stores and their vendor, Perfect Promotions & More of Apex, NC will be presenting 3 checks from the sales of specific t-shirts this fall.

At 9:30 am at the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center, a check for $2,124 will be presented to staff at the center to go toward the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Fund, and another check for $2,124 will be presented to the Hope Lodge. These funds are from sales of Pirate Cancer Awareness T-shirts sold during October at Dowdy Student Stores and the Medical Bookstore at Brody School of Medicine.

At 11:00 am, a check for $4,788 will be presented to the Distinguished Military Society to benefit ECU ROTC Scholarships. The presentation will be made at the Freedom Wall just west of Christenbury Gym to Dr. Steve Duncan and Dr. Glen Gilbert of the College of Health and Human Performance. These funds were generated from sales of ECU Military Appreciation t-shirts during the month of November at the Dowdy Stores as well as at the football stadium.

This is the first time Dowdy Student Stores has donated from sales of military t-shirts. 1200 shirts were sold with $4 from each shirt donated.
