Greenville Utilities presented East Carolina University a Clean Future Award in recognition of ECU's support and contribution to compressed Natural Gas in North Carolina. Dr. Virginia Hardy accepted the award at the GUC compressed natural gas fueling station on Easy street. Tony Cannon, GUC General Manager and CEO, Pat Riley, From Sea to Shining Sea Road Rally organizer, and Rich Worsinger made remarks. The From Sea to Shining Sea Road Rally is a 3,144 mile cross country tour from Tennessee to California using CNG to promote natural gas vehicles.
