ECU public archaeology class works at the Greenville town common. They were investgating the site of the old Sycamore Hill Missionary Baptist Church at the corner of First and Greene. The structure was razed in the late 1960's.
Students used terrestrial laser scanning and ground penetrating radar to examine the former cemetary location and try to locate the foundation of the building.
