Jeff Charles, the radio announcer known as the "Voice of the Pirates," returned to the airwaves on Wednesday, Feb. 13 after battling colon cancer. Charles, out since Dec. 1, 2012, had missed the previous 16 games before calling the match up between the Pirates and the UAB Blazers. ECU defeated the Blazers 74-61.
